Craps in general

Crap, I don't know how to play Craps, you say. I don't even know what it is. Well, here it is. This should be enough information to get you going with craps.

Craps is a dice game which is mostly popular in America casinos and gamerooms. Any number of people can play craps. Each person playing (then called the shooter) rolls two dice, in turn, trying to toss a winning combination.

Before his first throw, each player puts up a stake or bet, and the other players "fade it," or bet against the shooter up to the amount of the bet. The current player, or shooter, must withdraw any part of his stake that is not faded. If a winning roll is tossed, the shooter may continue to roll and bet again, as much or as little as he wants, or he may give up the dice. If the shooter looses, the other players take doule the amount they faded. The fellow players also may bet or wager among themselves as to whether the shooter will win or lose in the next series of throws or whether or not certain numbers or dice combinations will come up. In some games, such as bank craps, players bet only with the house.

If the players rolls a 7 or 11 on his first roll, he wins. If a 2,3, or 12 (craps) are tossed on the first toss, he looses. Bets are then settled and the player decides if he would like to toss again or pass the dice to the player on his left. If the shooter's first throw is 4,5,6,8,9, or 10 that number is his point, and he continues to toss until he rolls the same number again (thus making his point) and wins, or tosses 7 (misses out, or craps out) and loses both his bet and passes the dice. Side bets may be laid with or against the shooter and can be made before he has a point or after.
